Equipment Centers

CDM has a large inventory of cinema and media production equipment housed in three locations. The Loop Equipment Center houses most of our camera and audio stock, as well as portable lighting kits and small grip equipment. DePaul Cinespace Studios is home to our Advanced Camera Check Out, commonly known as the Camera Vault, and to a large inventory of stage lighting, rigging, and grip equipment.

The Loop Equipment Center

The Loop Equipment Center, also known as “The Cage”, is located in the Lower Level of the Daley Building and home to a large array of production equipment available to students including digital camcorders, DSLR’s, camera lenses and accessories, field audio equipment, portable lighting, and light grip gear. The staff can help students with equipment rental scheduling questions.

Equipment Centers

The Camera Vault (Advanced Camera & Sound Equipment)

The Camera Vault houses all of SCA’s advanced cameras, as well as basic and advanced sound packages. Equipment is available for classes and student film projects. This facility also manages access to DePaul Cinespace’s DIT Suites
