This advanced course immerses students in the role of a showrunner on a green-lit production. Through hands-on exercises, including departmental prep-week meetings, casting, location scouting, budget negotiations with line producers, and artist collaboration, students will sharpen their creative and leadership skills. Insights from seasoned television professionals across various roles will provide a deeper understanding of how a showrunner navigates the essential relationships that drive a successful series.
