Directing Sound Design and Music
This lecture course will equip directors with a comprehensive knowledge of the language of film sound and music. It will delve into the fundamentals of sound and into in-depth analyses of sound and music in film, while exploring the crucial roles of both sound designers and composers in the filmmaking process. The primary objective is to prepare directors to effectively collaborate with sound designers, re-recording mixers, and composers, thus enabling them to create work that are both aesthetically and technically sound.
FILM 410 or ANI 422 is a prerequisite for this class.
