IS 372: Software Project Management

An introduction to the concept and techniques of project management (PM) for a broad range of systems, including those in the web/mobile application development environment. Topics include PM processes, methodologies, communications, resource management, organizational factors, stakeholder management, project manager responsibilities, team building, and risk management. An emphasis is placed on the agile approach and its comparison with the waterfall approach. Tools and techniques for project estimating and scheduling will be presented. Case study and group projects.
