SCWR 360: Writing the Independent Television Series

Students will study the conventions for writing and producing the independent television series, including concept and character development, narrative structure, story-world, budget constraints, and audience. Series of various styles and genres by creators with a diverse range of intersectional identities will be examined. Students will write an original, short-form, five-episode series.

SCWR 100 or SCWR 101 is a prerequisite for this class.

This course is repeatable for 8.00 credit hours.
