Bio and Research Information

Maria Paula Diaz Campo is an Instructor at DePaul University and a Ph.D. candidate in Management Information Systems at Florida International University (FIU). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Business Analytics, also from FIU. Her research examines how emerging technologies influence organizational decision-making, user behavior, and system design, with particular interests in IT investment, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and inclusive technology design. Her work bridges theory and practice, offering insights that help organizations navigate digital transformation, enhance user engagement, and build technological resilience in dynamic environments. She collaborates on interdisciplinary projects across healthcare and business domains, and her research has been published in JMIR Human Factors and Amplify (formerly Cutter Business Technology Journal) and presented at leading conferences including the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). At DePaul, Maria teaches Introduction to Information Systems. Beyond the classroom, Maria is an active member of the academic community, contributing as a reviewer for journals and conferences and volunteering for the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
