Introduction to Managing Emerging Databases
An introduction to the managerial issues of emerging non-traditional database systems such as NoSQL, NewSQL, and big data analytic databases. An understanding of data organizations, business use cases, major vendors, and product trends of non-traditional database systems. Hands-on sessions to familiarize key features and managerial requirements of select non-traditional database systems.
IS 451 or CSC 453 is a prerequisite for this class.
